‘The Eleventh Fashion Show’ Seeks Government Support, Holds Nov. 13

angieThe much publicized fashion event, ‘The Eleventh Fashion Show’, has unveiled its preparation for the date which was just announced.

Mrs. Angie Thomas Jibodu, the CEO of Jt Angies Emporium, organizers of the event, while announcing the Sunday, October 13th event, said that the show was created as a platform ‘to showcase Nigeria’s finest piece of art through the runway.’

“The Eleventh Fashion Show is a day fashion event that aims to drive the Nigerian and ultimately, the African fashion industry, by bringing together buyers, consumers, designers  and the media to view the current collections of African designers in the fashion capital of Lagos, Nigeria, while it’s also designed to exhibit brilliant skills of young designers. We intend to express the glamour of our culture through style,” stated Angie.
According to Angie, there will be exhibition booths for brands to showcase their products and services. She added that as one of the leading fashion events on the African fashion calendar, The Eleventh Fashion Show leads the way with initiatives that support, strengthen and develop the fashion industry.

Beyond the runway, she said, the annual event also provides a physical platform that’s gradually repositioning fashion as a useful tool for commerce and creativity in Nigeria. Angie, however, appeals that the organizers are hopeful more sponsors would come in as they are already partnering with reliable firms, while she calls on the government to also extend a helping hand.
