On June 5, 2017, one Mr. Adedigba Adepegba aka Taloskibo, a close associate of one late Rasaq Bello aka Hamburger who was murdered by suspected gang members of the Oshodi chapter of the NURTW leader, MC Oluomo, led a rally to protest the killing and even publicly accused Oluomo of being the mastermind.

Shockingly, Talo is presently singing a new song.

Talo in a live video interview then also alleged that one other close associate of his, one MC Oluwo, was killed in similar gruesome manner.  Oluomo, the accused, is the Lagos State Treasurer of the National Union of Road Transport Worker (NURTW). He was said to be holidaying in the US when Hamburger was killed on Monday, May 29th, 2017.

Talo, in the public outburst, noted that both himself, Hamburger and late Oluwo were former members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, during the presidential election before defecting to the All Progressive Congress, APC, before the gubernatorial election, adding that the defection of himself and his two late friends did not go down well with MC Oluomo led faction of the NURTW Oshodi division, a development that he claimed led to the death of Oluwo and later Hamburger’s.

The anticipated crisis in the Oshodi axis then forced the Lagos State Government to suspend the activities of the NURTW, until the state chapter chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, waded into the crisis and reconciled the warring factions.

Meanwhile, at the peace parley that had top NURTW chieftains in attendance, Talo and Oluomo publicly denounced violence. And taken it further, the petite Talo who gleefully declared in public that he was the next target on the suspected killers’ list few weeks back while his ‘Oluomo fee pami o’ (Oluomo wants to kill me o) slogan almost became an anthem, made a surprise u-turn.

The once aggrieved Talo, who was seeing on video beaming with smiles, told the world that he never meant it when he accused Oluomo blaming anger for the slip. If that didn’t shock you, hearing Talo denouncing his supposed slain friend, Hamburger probably would.

With his usual glee, Talo pointed out that the killing of Hamburger happened in Sogunle, an Oshodi surburb, not Oshodi. While he stated that Oluomo never killed both Hamburger and MC Oluwo.

However, majority of the people this magazine spoke with on the new development have said that Talo should not be blamed for the turn of events. They argued that no sacrifice is too much to make to have peace, especially in a volatile spot like Oshodi.
