Osun State born business mogul, Dr. Deji Adeleke, is said to be presently under alleged security threat, sources within the Osun PDP caucus informed Global Excellence magazine.

Dr. Adeleke, the father of young music star, Davido, is currently assumed as the leader of the leading opposition party, the PDP in Osun State being the elder brother of Ademola Adeleke, the PDP goverborship candidate in the state who is now challenging the ruling APC’s victory in court.

Meanwhile, as Deji Adeleke has embarked on serious campaign tour of the state to give moral support to the party members, Global Excellence was informed that his party chiefs were worried for his safety based on security reports that some dark forces may be after his life.

Based on this, the Osun State chapter of PDP, last week Thursday, petitioned the nation’s police chief, IGP Abubakar Adamu Mohammed, alleging threat to the life of Dr. Adeleke.

The letter entitled ‘SECURITY ALERT: Attempt To Cause A Breach Of The Peace, Attack The Convoy Of Our State Chairman And Our Leader,  Dr. Deji Adeleke,  By The Duo Of Adejare Bello And Bashiru Ajibola And Their Cohorts’ was signed by the state Chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo and the party Secretary , Prince Bola Ajao. The Director-General of the  DSS ,  Osun State Commissioner of Police and the state Director of DSS  were also copied.

In the letter, which this reporter was privileged to have seeing, the party alleged that  it has intelligence report detailing  plans to attack the convoy of the Ede born businessman and the state PDP Chairman.

Presented below is the content of the letter:

“Sir, this is to bring to your notice a very reliable intelligence report  we got following a clandestine meeting attended by Adejare Bello and Ajibola Bashiru (the APC Osun Central Senatorial candidate), they have perfected plans and already mobilized thugs to attack the convoy of our state Chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo and our leader, Dr. Deji Adeleke while on the campaign tour of  the state ,  particularly, Ila and Ifelodun local councils.

It is very important and urgent for the security agencies to check and call them to order and also hold them responsible for any breach of the peace in this respect.”
