An eight-man armed gang on Monday morning, June 25th, 2018, reportedly raided the Ifo, Ogun State residence of Mr. Femi Oyewale, the publisher Sahara Weekly and Saharaweekly online magazines.
According to Femi in a statement sent to Global Excellence magazine, the fully armed robbers invaded his home and threatened to kill him if he failed to cooperate with them.
At the end of the operation that last hours, Femi said, the robbers left with cash, phones, home appliances, jewelries and a white Toyota Matrix car with registration number ABC 38 JN belonging to him.
“It wasn’t a rosy moment for me and my family. They threatened me with death if i fail to cooperate. They also threatened to take one of my children along with them but serious pleading and God’s intervention saved the day,” Femi narrated.
However, we gathered that the Ogun State police commissioner and the area commander of Sango Ota have waded into the incident and assured the victim that all stolen properties and cash including his vehicle will be tracked and recover.
