Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo was born in Ode-Remo in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State. He is an alumnus of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labour Relations. In a bid to broaden his leadership and managerial skills, Olabinjo obtained certification in Leadership and Management Development from the prestigious Manchester Business School of the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Hon. Olabinjo had worked briefly with the Acne Builders and Record Manufacturer Nig Limited, both based in Lagos, before venturing into full-time business. Fondly admired by his people and recognized for his rare qualities of transparency, hard work, selflessness, Adeyemi Olabinjo was elected as the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area from 2008 to 2011.
In recognition of his loyalty, dint of service and contributions to the development of his community, Hon. Olabinjo again, emerged the party’s flag bearer for the 2011 local government election in which he was eventually declared winner and subsequently sworn-in as Executive Chairman for a 2nd term in office, from 2011 to 2014.
An astute politician, accomplished farmer and businessman, honest, hardworking and disciplined gentleman, Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo was appointed Special Adviser on Commerce, Industry and Cooperative to the Governor of Lagos State in 2015 and was redeployed in the same capacity to the Office of Civic Engagement in January, 2018.
Hon. Adeyemi Olabinjo is happily married to Chief (Mrs.) Omolabake Adenike Olabinjo and their union is blessed with children.
