Going by the political move in the Accord Party especially among the associates of Senator Rashidi Ladoja , a former governor of the state who is also National Leader of the Accord Party, there are indications that the former governor may throw its hat into the ring of gubernatorial contest in 2019.
The Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland who recently lost many of his supporters including Engineer Olaniyan, a strong financier to APC recently was said to have been making serious effort to convince his supporters including those who are already eyeing the gubernatorial seat on the need to support his ambition as he claims to be the only politician that can wrestle power from APC in the state.
Although no former declaration has been made by the Accord National Leader, he is likely to declare before the end of 2017.
