Naija Online TV’s Managing Editor, Dare Gbadebo, on the 18th of November, 2018, bagged “Best Male International Media Personality Of The Year” award from Leadership Mind Ambassadors(LMA) award organisers.
This honour, according to the organisers of the Leadership Recognition Award, was done in appreciation of his selfless service to the society and humanity at large. LMA awards as revealed by its founder, Ifeanyichukwu Petwise is an honour meant for entrepreneurs, leaders and community ambassadors globally.
No doubt the creative writer, blogger and media personality was selected as overall winner out of considered nominees from across the globe in the particular category at this year’s edition. LMA in its past editions has honoured recipients from across continents which includes Africa, Asia, Europe and America. Here is a little into the background of the award winner.
Dare Gbadebo is a Nigerian born, media and entertainment practitioner, who attended Isonyin grammar school, at Isonyin, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, Nigeria, before proceeding to the University of lagos, where he studied, Business Administration.
After which he followed his passion and obtained a certificate in photography at Pencils Film and Television Institute (PEFTI), then delved into photojournalism and writing publications, there after.
Dare Gbadebo over the years as a media practitioner has being a writer for several media houses such as www.somolu.net, campus people magazine, global excellence magazine and he is presently the managing editor of Naija Online TV, a UK based media company, presently operating from Africa, Europe and Asia, telling the Nigerian story.
He as well is a sports analyst on international radio, Naija FM, UK, due to his passion for sports and for the fact that he was a member of his school’s football team during his much younger days.
Dare Gbadebo as a journalist has covered several events and written publications from various African countries and in Asia too, part of which are Nigeria, Ghana and Dubai, UAE.
He is a multiple award winning event compere as an entertainer and also the media manager of Team Nigeria International, a grassroots sports development organisation, based in London, United Kingdom. He is also an image maker of USA based entertainment and event company, Afro-Heritage Entertainment Company and Afro-Heritage Broadcasting and Entertainment Awards(AHBEAwards). He has also interviewed several Hollywood and British artistes like Oris Erhuero, Ikenna Obi and more African music entertainment superstars like Hope Masike from Zimbabwe and Audrey Bading from Gabon, Artquake from Nigeria among others to name a few including football stars, celebrities, Kings and politicians too.
The creative writer who was in Dubai, U.A.E as at the time news of the award reached him used the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported his career, one way or the other and also dedicated the award to Naija Online Online TV’s esteemed readers, followers and supporters.
