Popular actress, Kemi Afolabi who stands out from others with her unique ways of interpreting movie roles is standing out again with a new movie production, titled M’odorisa.
The success of the shooting of the new movie, was attributed to a popular marketer, who the actress confessed understands her idea and motive behind the capital intensive project. Movie fans who had the opportunity of a sneak preview agreed that the movie was worth the efforts, as it was set to make a statement in the Yoruba section of Nollywood and further enrich the Yoruba tradition.
M’Odorisa, a Yoruba cultural movie features about 1000-all female cast, both stars and upcoming. The list include Peju Ogunmola, Madam Saje, Fathia Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Foluke Daramola, Doris Simeon, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Liz Da Silva, Funke Etti, Sikirat Sindodo, Joke Muyiwa to mention but a few.
In a chat with showbiz, the producer, Kemi Afolabi who played the role of a King in the movie said she has to partner with her marketer to make her dream come through because the production is capital intensive and time-consuming. She stressed further that the inspiration comes for her to promote her mother tongue and to change the westernized world which is fast changing our own orientation.
It took the crew few weeks before the commencement of the shooting at the outskirt of Ilaro because they have to audition all the cast and encourage the upcoming actresses to promote their talents.
