Kwara State Police Command during the March 9 governorship and state of assembly elections in the state deployed military in order to ensure effective surveillance of the state in the governorship and the State Assembly election. The state commissioner of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun who stated the reason said that the military jet meant for surveillance work was better than using ordinary air craft. He added that before, during and after the elections, the security agencies would comb all criminal hideouts to make the state safe and secured.
