Against the rumour milling that the duo of the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf and Hon. Rotimi Makinde, don’t see eye-to-eye as a result of differences over politics, the two gladiators from Osun State, today, made a surprise display of maturity at the final burial ceremony for the mother of the state’s governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
According to sources, as soon as the VIPs were seated and the events progressed, Hon. Rotimi Makinde it was who made the mature move when he walked to Rt. Hon Yusuf’s seat to pay homage. Both were said to have exchanged pleasantries to the admiration of other guests and their loyalists.
With this show of maturity by both personalities, indeed, it was the beginning of a lasting peace in Osun State politics.
