“I Fear Poverty, So I Can’t Share My Wealth”

YBNL Boss, Olamide has shared his thoughts on “We rise by lifting others” statement made by Davido at the just concluded Headies Award.

Olamide took to his Instagram page to disagree with the statement, pointing out that he does not belong to that school of thought. According him, cheerful givers can never have savings.

He stated that, Aliko Dangote could have decided to solve the economic hardship of Nigerians by sharing his wealth but doing that would have made the billionaire businessman a poor man.

This, however, is in sharp contrast with Davido’s point of view. Davido has been known for lots of philanthropic efforts of lifting up unknown artistes to superstars while funding all their music projects. Davido believes successful people “rise by lifting others” while Olamide thinks otherwise.

Meanwhile, it is not contestable that Olamide has helped others in the past and he is still helping in the little way he can. Lilkesh, Viktor, Adekunle, Chinko Ekun are some of the beneficiaries of Olamide’s helping hands.
