Saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy. It’s a process that can extend far beyond the person’s death. While it can be tough to find the right words to eulogize a loved one just after they’ve passed away, there are endless creative and meaningful ways to honour and remember that person. Yomi Fash-Lanso, a colleague of the late actress, Moji Olaiya, today, sent an appeal to members of the public, particularly those privileged to know her intimately while she was alive, to stop circulating her picture on deathbed.

Yomi’s words;

“I want to appeal that those who have been privileged enough to be with our late sister Moji Olaiya and who have copies of the helpless woman on bed in her last hours should desist from using such pictures. Moji has enough beautiful pictures and videos we can celebrate her with.

Please let us not demystify her glorious exit by using pictures taken in her helpless hours when she could neither say nor offer a smile. That will be greatly unfair. Remember Gbogbo wa la da agbada iku. Let us remember her for her beauty and great performances. Thank you.

Yomi Fash-Lanso.”
