Lola Abiola-Edewor, the first daughter of the late business mogul and acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, may have been silenced politically but her recent philanthropic activities cannot be overlooked.

Just last month, the top director at Nigeria Deposit Insurance Company (NDIC) purchased JAMB form for over 500 applicants in her constituency. Not only that, Lola Edewor has also secured employment for another 100 residents of Ogun State in federal government parastatals.

This enigma and woman of virtue is now reconstructing not less than five schools in her federal constituency.

Meanwhile, few years after she left the political scene to honour her appointment as the Executive Director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) in 2012, Hon. Lola Abiola-Edewor, the first child of the symbol of democracy and business mogul, the late Chief MKO Abiola, is believed to be making moves to find her way back into politics as the race for 2019 heats up.

Lola is at present warming up to go back to the National Assembly, this time as the senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District.

She recently distributed six trucks of rice, rams and cash to the people in her constituency for the Sallah celebrations.

By virtue of her position at the NDIC, Lola is said to have been helping a good number of her constituents to get appointments in federal parastatals. She reportedly bought over 200 UME forms for students this year. Lola was a House of Representatives member from 1999-2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy, representing Apapa, after which she crossed to the People’s Democratic Party
