‘Love U Die’ crooner, Patoranking, has been mentioned in a song title controversy that is fast brewing.

The song, ‘Melanin’, a fast-rising Hip-Hop act named Adebayo Ajibade a.k.a. Pheel D’Word, claimed was so titled by him first and released in July 2017 on the airwaves, four clear months before the title was released in a song video that features a Kenya rap band, Sauti Sol and Patoranking.

A source close to Pheel D’ Word told Global Excellence magazine that, though they are not making a fuse about it, since the song is not officially registered yet, it rather interesting that Sauti Sol, a Kenyan famous rap group

Sauti Sol, featured Patoranking in ‘Melanin’

and Patoranking could just lap into the idea four clear months after it was released by Pheel D’Word on the airwaves and has made appreciable impacts.

Pheel D’Word’s ‘Melanin’ was produced by K-12 and Marqai Mix. The video released by Sauti and Patoranking of the same title was produced by the duo of Olusegun Adepoju and Yinka Sholola of Capital Dreams Pictures, and shot by Clarence Peters.

Meanwhile, while speaking to Global Excellence magazine, Pheel D’Word said that he was unfazed by the development, as he was looking forward to working with Sauti and Patoranking someday soon because “they’re great artistes.”
