The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi the Ojaja II, has commended a former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Rotimi Makinde, for his remarkable drive in grassroots familiarisation in his home town, Ile Ife, Osun State.
According to the revered monarch during Makinde’s stop-and-check visit to the fast rising resort center along Ibadan Road in Ile Ife, Hon. Makinde has always been an excellent grassroots mobilizer, so, “I’m so happy that you are now very close and stays more at home as a politician.”
Honourable Rotimi Makinde was at the resort center owned by the Ooni to observe the progress made so far with the hospitality arena that houses about 350 hotels rooms, live and friendly animals, African village settings, local bars and international restaurants band stand, classical reception etc.
It was while on the inspection tour that Ooni and his entourage reportedly drove into the arena.
Reciprocating the monarch’s gestures, Makinde eulogized the Ooni for “erecting a masterpiece that is unprecedented in the history of Yorubaland, and for truly living up to expectations for transforming Ile Ife,” praying that God continues to preserve the monarch for the use of mankind.
