The regular dictum that police are your friends is, unfortunately, often undone by the conduct of Nigerian police officers. If you care to know, up till today, not many people have good words to say about them.
It was another round of the police’s meanness few days ago in Lagos Island. A young man named Kazeem, was cut down in his prime.
Eye witnesses told this magazine that, the erring policeman said to have been drunk, shot Kazeem, who he mistook for a suspect he was chasing.
Kazeem was said to be leaving his tailoring shop to prayer in the mosque when he met his death.
