An Abuja source just informed Global Excellence magazine that members Shiite Muslim group have converged on the Abuja Central Mosque from all across the country allegedly for possible showdown with security agents.
According to the source, “this is clearly a well-organized group of people. Although, the federal government was aware ahead of their grouping and had stationed soldiers and police at strategic places around the mosque, it is doubtful the aggrieved sect can easily be overpowered should there be exchange of assaults as they look ready for real battle.
It’s Friday today when dignitaries from within and around Abuja are expected to converge at the central mosque for Jumat prayer.

Members of the Shiite group have been clamouring for the released of their leader, Sheikh El Zaky Zaky, who was detained two years ago after a brush with the law.
