The mother of Lagos-based businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, was today (Saturday) killed in an early morning fire incident at about 76 year old.
The victim, Mrs. Theresa Jimoh, was said to be at her home in the Victoria Garden City, Lagos, when the fire broke out around 2am.
Mrs. Jimoh was said to have been burnt to death before the inferno was put out by firefighters from the Lagos State Fire Service.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, explained that the remains of the deceased have been deposited in a morgue.
The Lagos police spokesperson however said investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
