Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed Sacks Cabinet


It was not a good week for the former members of the Kwara State executive council as the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed on Thursday, 18th of January ordered the sacking of the state cabinet; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold made this known via a statement issued in Ilorin. The commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and the special assistants were affected, the commissioners were consequently instructed to hand over to the permanent secretaries of the various ministries. While stating the governor’s appreciation to the former executive council members and the special assistants for their valuable service and contributions and also wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours. Ahmed also according to Gold assured the citizens that additional measures have been put in place to sustain government business pending the reconstitution of the state executive council.
