For some time now there had been rumour that gifted artiste and one of the strongest members of the MARVIN team, Wande Coal was planning to dump the Don Jazzy owned Record Label. But, as soon as the runour took over the various space on the social media, both Wande Coal and his boss, Don Jazzy came out to debunk the story, claiming they were still bonded like they’ve always been.
Now, Global Excellence can exclusively inform you that the boat ferrying the erstwhile good buddies has hit the end of the road.
We have it on good source that Wande decided to dialogue with his legs when he signed a new multimillion naira record deal with another label.
The label, we were told is behind the new 10million naira Mercedes Benz 4matic that he is cruising around town now.
Part of the deal that saw him leaving the Maevin crew included a standard video for his new song and also accommodation which his new bosses have accepted to address.
At present, Wande lives inside the 1004 Housing Estate on the Island; the house we gathered was rented for him by Don Jazzy and Wande feels Don Jazzy could do his worst by ejecting him out of the house if things take another dimension, hence the request for accommodation.
One of the problems that quashed the hitherto flourishing union between him and Don Jazzy is that apart from being bossy, he has refused to change his car. Before the new label bought another car for him, it was the one D’Banj bought many years ago that he drove till the new one came. Yet, almost on a monthly basis, Don Jazzy changes his car.
When his journey from Mushin to Mo’hits Records started, many assumed that the talented Black Diamond, Wande has got to his zenith but all hope was dashed after the crisis that rocked Mo’Hits Records. Prior to the crisis, Don Jazzy gathered Tiwa Savage, D’prince, Dr. Sid and Wande Coal to form Mavin Records after D’banj left the group with the aim of going to break another ground.
According to inside sources, Wande Coal has signed a new record deal that worth millions of naira with the latest 2013Mercedes Benz 4matic version to back it up. Before his sudden u-turn, rumour has it that the owner of Black Diamond Entertainment had wanted to dump Mavin immediately D’banj left Mo’hits but he was persuaded by some notable personalities and his respect for the Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy changed his mind. Rumours floating around including some indicating that he was actually never signed to Mavin Records, and therefore not legally tied to the label. Information also has it that some members also left the group with Wande Coal. Initially, a source disclosed that Wande’s career has been dormant right from the days of the Mo’hits records and as such decided to take his destiny in his own hands. It will interest you to know that Wande Coal only released one full-length album, Mushin2Mohits back in 2009 and ever since then, he has been struggling with his career. There hasn’t been any statement from the Mavin Records camp or from Wande Coal’s camp clearly stating what the deal is.
